Who We Are American Caregivers, Inc.

Founded in 2003, American Caregivers, Inc. provides home and community-based services designed to meet the diverse needs of Maryland residents. We serve individuals across the lifespan—including children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum, and older adults—through a variety of Medicaid waiver programs. Our participation in Autism Waiver, Community Options, Community First Choice, CPAS, and DDA ensures access to personalized, state-supported care. We believe in protecting each person’s integrity and fostering as much independence as possible through a variety of medicaid programs and private pay. With our experienced team by your side, home becomes a place of growth, comfort, and support.

Mission Statement

The mission of American Caregiver’s Inc., (ACI) is to provide quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities in a compassionate, cost effective and least restrictive manner possible; to provide the necessary support that will enable individuals to have the freedom of choice, authority over the type of services they receive and from whom, and the ability to participate to their fullest capacity in all aspects of life in their community. At ACI, we ensure that our mission aligns with the DDA as we want to create a flexible, person-centered, family-oriented environment for all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We also prioritize research to stay abreast of best practices in ID/DD and ensure that ACI provides the best quality of care.
