Intensive Individual Support Services (IISS)
Intensive Individual Support Services (IISS) in Maryland
Intensive Individual Support Services are provided in the home and the community to children who otherwise would require a more restrictive residential placement. IISS is goal and task oriented, and is provided by a trained technician, based on a treatment plan developed by a professional with parental participation.
Intensive Individual Support Services (IISS) assists with:
- Promoting the development of life skills and growth
- Providing the child with behavior management skills
- Providing the child with a sense of security and safety.
- Assisting and maintaining self-sufficiency with impulse control
- Improving the child’s ability to achieve a level of independence.
